Ubiquity

The cameras are all over me
Documenting my every move
Every corner I turn
Every doob I burn
Its eyes watch me like a hawk in the night
'What have I done to deserve
All this attention I've garnered?'
When is the last time you felt like
you weren't being watched?
I try to shake 'em
But they're on me tight
Every step I take
Every sound I make
The faster I run
The more focused it is
The further I get
The closer I come
Every glance I fake
Every cookie I bake
All for the cameras
That never stop rolling.

Rent in Doubt

Poof! Where'd your money go?
Like a puffa smoke in the air
Say goodbye to stability
Say hello to inflexibility
How'd you do that,
Eeked out another month didya?
Nice job, but what about the next…

Are You?

Have you eaten yet?
Another eight hours and you'll be half there
All this talk of who said what is really getting me down
I want to go up and stay up
I wanna rock all night long
I want security of a brighter tomorrow
I want courtesy to be common again, and not unusual
I want there to be more eye contact in this world
I want people to really mean it when they apologize
I want you to be me so I can be you and we can just
Be human.
