For the American Soldier

O brave American Soldier, I salute you. I support you fully, and wish that God may save you through the many mortal perils you will face.

Our leaders have decided to send you, brave Americans all, to attack Iraq, and I, non-soldier, at last believe. You have not flinched when called to this labor, and are placing your own life at risk with a willing boldness that I admire.

To even be considered a great man, one must first be a great citizen. You do the greatest service to the Nation by exposing yourself to the obscenities of war in a battle that simply must be fought. I find no reproach against you, American Soldier.

May God save you and bring you back soon to an America that is better because of your efforts and sacrifice.
