--Protect the rights of citizens to petition their government

---Full transparency, accountability and oversight of government activities.

---Restore our privacy rights by opposing the Austin Police Department's policy of drawing your blood if you refused a sobriety test on suspicion of DWI. The United States Constitution guaranteed our 4th Amendment Rights. We Must not surrender them at the local level.Judges Must enforce the laws and stop legislating from the bench in order to protect the public from DWI offenders.

---Championing local businesses because they are the backbones of our economy.

---Supports developmental growth that will pay for itself instead of shifting the burden to Austin tax payers in the name of subsidies and corporate incentives. I will support lower taxes and deregulation of some City Ordinances that are impediments to free market.

----Supports equitable, sustainable and comprehensive transportation plan that will incorporate making Austin the best bikable and walkable city in the United States. I will not support toll roads on existing roads that taxpayers have already paid for.

---Supports cost benefit analysis of economic incentives to big corporations and their effects on local businesses and the community.

---Supports public participation in City Council debates by proposing a minimum of three public hearings on any city agenda item.

Brave New Books is one of the first brick-and-mortar bookstores in the country to focus on the myriad of political, economic, medical and spiritual scams that populate our mainstream media today. Our goal is to educate people on a whole host of issues that we feel are suppressed by other bookstores, both the chain stores and even other anti-establishment bookstores. We endorse only one political ideology, and that is freedom. Our selection of titles offers a banquet of liberty-centric writings that dispel the need for conceptualizing our world in the binary, left vs. right way. Because of our location, just a block south of one of the largest Universities in the country, we are reaching out to our next generation of leaders at the University of Texas to encourage them to think more critically about 9-11, genetically-modified food, religious deception, the banking powers, globalization and many other critical issues that affect our daily lives.
